Kaithal

It is situated in the North-West of the state. At present, the district of Kaithal is a flourishing agricultural town known for its cotton and rice. Kaithal is famous for the remnants of old forts and fortresses, centuries old temples, ponds, pools, gurudwaras, samadhies of saints and great personalities and graveyards of Muslim faquir depicting the long lasting history of the city's antiquity, cultural heritage and prosperity.

The town Kaithal is also famous for food processing industries (cotton and rice). The Phelgu tank, Tomb of Razia Sultan, Gurudwara Nanji Sahib, Gurudwara Neen Sahib, Gurudwara Topiyon Wala, Gyarah Rudri temple, temples of Saraswati, Kapil Muni and Brick temples are the major attractions for the tourists.

Nava Graha

  • It is located in Kaithal. The place has 9 kundas which are believed to be build by Lord Krishna through Yudhishthir to carry Nav Graha Havan (Yajna).
  • Now, most of the kundas do not have much water left. This place is sometimes known a Chhoti Kashi due to the importance of bathing in these kunds or pools.
